Responsibility to our community

Make-A-Wish®Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana takes very seriously our responsibility to steward supporter contributions wisely.

Our fundraising efforts, fiscal practices, and business operations all are designed to support us in our mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

To maintain the integrity of the mission of the Foundation, responsible stewardship of funds is promised to every donor, sponsor, volunteer and wish family. Each year our Chapter’s financial records are audited by an independent auditing firm. The fiscal 2018 audit confirmed that 93 cents of every dollar donated was used or set aside for the granting of wishes – the Foundation’s main purpose – while only 7 cents from every dollar went toward administration and fundraising efforts.
