Jackson is a lively 12-year-old that loves video games, jumping on his trampoline, and going to the park. He fights a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy every day, but it doesn’t stop him from wanting to live his life to the fullest.
It’s apparent that Jackson struggles to keep up physically, which is why he loves being in the water so much – it’s an equalizer and when he’s swimming he has no problem keeping up with his sisters. For these reasons, it made sense to all when his one true wish was to swim in Hawaii, where he could swim to his heart’s content and see his feet in the clear blue water! Jackson was treated like royalty from the minute they stepped into the airport and was presented with a lei and goodies. Their hotel room had the most amazing view of the ocean and they swam in their hotel pool every single day they were there. He got to go on a helicopter tour of the island, swim with dolphins, snorkel in the Hanauma Bay, and visit Pearl Harbor. Jackson’s mom said that he had the time of his life and that to see his smile nearly every minute of the trip was absolutely priceless.
"I will start by saying that Jackson had the time of his life! To see his smiles nearly every minute of this trip was priceless."
