Planned Giving Options

Planned giving is one way you can continue to bring hope, strength and joy to the lives of brave, deserving children. By including Make-A-Wish® Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana in your estate plans, you can provide the resources to change the lives of children now and in the future.

Planned gifts should be carefully considered in relation to your comprehensive financial and estate plans. We recommend that you consult your attorney or financial planner when considering a planned gift.

Below are a few of the ways you can leave a legacy to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through an estate plan.

WAYS
TO GIVE
BENEFITS TO DONOR
Bequest Establishing a bequest provision just takes a simple designation in your will or trust and  costs nothing during your lifetime. Bequests are easy to set up and revocable if your s situation changes.
Retirement Assets        Naming Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana as a beneficiary of your individual  retirement account (IRA) will allow you to make a donation from your most highly taxed  asset and leave more favorable assets for your family.
Life Insurance Designating Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana as the beneficiary of your life  insurance policy is an easy way to leave a legacy. Irrevocably donating an existing policy  you no longer need will provide you with a current charitable income tax deduction.
Charitable Remainder Trust Forming a charitable remainder trust (CRT) allows a donor to transfer assets into a trust.  The trust pays income to the donor or other beneficiaries during their lifetime. The remaining principal will benefit Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana.
Charitable Lead Trust  Funding a charitable lead trust for Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana will provide the Foundation with an income stream for a specified term. The assets of the  trust will be invested and managed by a trustee. At the end of the trust term, the remaining trust assets revert to the donor or are transferred to one or more non- charitable beneficiaries designated by the donor.
