The Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana chapter was founded in 1984. The chapter covers 47 counties and 64 parishes with a 6 ½ person staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. We moved
into our own house in April of 1998. |

 Thank you so much for the wonderful trip to Orlando. The entire vacation was wonderful, but Discovery Cove and Adam’s swim with dolphins was without a doubt the best part. We had an unforgettable time! We were picked up from our home in a big, black Lincoln Town Car limousine to be taken to the airport. The flight was fine and the hotel was so comfortable. Adam and I rested for a while before heading down to the pool for the evening. We had an enjoyable time just swimming and relaxing. The next morning we were off to Disney’s Animal Kingdom where we rafted down the river on the Kalie River Rapids ride. The whole day was filled with animals and excitement. The next morning we got up early and excited because we were heading for Discovery Cove where Adam was going to swim with the dolphins. We relaxed on the beach first and then swam down the river that ran through the entire resort. The Tropical River took us to the Resort Pool where we had some more fun under the clear blue waterfalls. At Discovery Cove’s unique coral reef we saw thousands of tropical fish, giant rays, and even a shark and barracuda! However, the most exciting part of the day was for Adam to experience a personal swim with the dolphins. He got to playfully interact with them and even plant a little kiss on the nose. I can imagine how magical this part of the trip was for him! We visited Sea World the next day and enjoyed an experience with Sea World’s Adventures Express Tour. Of course we saw Shamu while we were there and a theatrical performance with acrobatic dolphins and whales, soaring birds, and other lively performers. To say the least, our trip to Orlando was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Adam to make so many wonderful memories. He will always remember this special trip and everything he was able to experience. We can’t thank Make-A-Wish Foundation enough for making all of his wishes come true! |
